anyone seen a decrease in turkey population or are you still seeing a lot of birds?

Same here, used to have alot of turkey 15 years ago. Guessing the hogs have raided nests, we have a S*** load of hogs now. Over 2 year period, I trapped over 200 racoons from 1800 acres. We see a few now, but no where near the numbers we used to see.

that is kind of what i was figuring. We got several places in Baylor county and have only had one lonesome turkey on camera.

We see a few now, but no where near the numbers we used to see. Turkey's and quail are facing a much bigger issue than just hogs, however, all of the nest raiders hurt them.

I've noticed there's been a drop off in numbers the last few years but lately have been seeing them on camera again. Quite a few young birds so hopeful.
