He's a 19 month old Goldendoodle that we got from a THF member at about 8 weeks. (80 lbs. now) He likes to sit outside with me and watch the lighting because the thunder doesn't scare him. Thanks, Marc, When the distant thunder rumbles, he heads for the door signaling me to grab an adult beverage and go out. My wife got him thinking that he would be a little 40lb. companion. Well, he is pushing 80 lbs. and plays fast and hard with his best buddy, a 90 lb German Shepherd He got the appearance of a poodle but he is a friendly golden retriever at his core. We get really dramatic sky conditions, but the hammer always falls several miles away from our little corner of the lake!

Just showed my wife that pic. We lost our Golden Doodle that looked just like yours about 3 years ago. Was a great dog. Im looking at her replacement Golden Doodle by my foot right now, Thunderstorms have to get pretty nasty before ours would even look up. I started shooting a 22 around this one we have now at about 4 months old. She looked back on my 1st shot but after that never looked back. Love the Golden Doodles.

Good looking pup  What an awesome view you have, bet you never get tired of it! When a storm would approach, my mutt would run out in the backyard and raise hell with the lightning and thunder, not anymore he high tails it in the house.

I have always had German Shepherds and Flat Coated Retrievers, so anything with the "oodle" was unthinkable to me. Well, this little 80 pound fluff ball changed my mind.
