Been a few weeks since I've been out, been trying to catch up with a lone boar who gets spooked by any light, so I came to check on things earlier. Found fresh tracks from some mini bacon seeds around the feeder. Came out this evening. Two females and a bunch of piglets showed up right before official sunset. Tagged a female quartering to me L to R. Her back dropped and she arched her head up to the sky, so I popped her under the chin on her right side. Not sure what happed on the first shot as it was high on her back behind the right shoulder. No exit on either. .308 with custom 168 gr. Hornady VMax polymer tip. When I got to her her belly was railing, full of piglets and ready to drop any minute. No, did not see how many.
