I just now drove from Salida Colo to Wichita Ks. First time in Ks. I’m not sure where all the huge deer I hear about from Ks are but definitely didn’t look anything like deer country on that stretch. At least till close to Hutchinson.
Good luck with some real advice from others.
At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR

Going east outa Wichita now and it’s a lot prettier country than coming in from west.

Yep I'm hunting KS again this year. I thought I'd killed all them big suckers over the past 22 years but there are still a few left.

I’ve hunted there the last 6yrs near Emporia. I’ve seen, and killed some big deer up there. Had to skip this year, but hoping to head back next year.
