 Pad blow out

Noticed one of my pointers has been acting sort of lethargic, not running around the yard much last few days. Figured it out today, saw something on a back foot as she went into the kennel. Had a flap of skin hanging off the large pad on back foot, whole bottom of pad peeled back. Checked the other back foot, same thing but the flap was gone. Never had a pad blowout, much less 2 at once. How long is the healing process for this injury?

Never had that happen. I have no idea on the healing time.

Super glue has been recomended for this in the past. I tried it years ago. It does work.

Super glue has been recomended for this in the past. I tried it years ago. It does work. No flaps left to glue back. I think I have some Tuff foot solution to dress them..

I clean it and spray vetericyn for a few days until they stop favoring it. If they are licking a ton I’d cone.

My vet recommended hydrotherapy—hold a garden hose against the pad as long as he will let you several times a day. It stimulates new tissue growth.

 I’m assuming as wet as it’s been the last few months their pads have softened up. And some hard running in the part of the backyard with a lots cedar sticks and branches on the ground after the tree trimming.

My "go to" has been EMT gel for many years but can't find the stuff anywhere now.
And if i do find a store on line that says they have it, they want double the normal price
