Guys, I bought a vintage redfield hunter USA 3x9 scope last year off of eBay. I have multiple old redfield scopes, both wide view and traditional and never saw one with hunter on it. My question is how old is this line? The glass is clear and the optics appear good on this older scope.

Does this Redfield have the oval shaped glass lenses? if so, i have my uncles old scope from early 80's then those were made in America! super good, any warranty problems were handled without any questions, from Colorado!
Not sure who services scopes today, think mostly you throw it away an dbuy a new one it seems. Mine has a few scratches, but no complaints! it just works! Also this one has the very glossy finish on it, im not wild about

Thanks Hogflyer I called iron sights in Tulsa. They service the old Redfields and they told me my hunter line was made in the mid 1980. According to them it’s a very good old Redfield.
