Saw 2 dead deer in a cove on Lake Fork ... neither were consumed by any other animal. The buck was on the ground .... the doe was laying in the water. Blue Tongue possibly?

Has it been that warm up there already?
Like above, could be lots of things.

The Blue Tongue hypothesis could be a bit of a jump. Tough life being a deer, many things could kill them and only a necropsy with microscope can determine the cause.

Next door neighbor found a dying deer a couple years ago. Hemmoragic disease, caused by a tiny insect called a Midge. Lots of possibilities for a dead deer.
A clear conscience is often the sign of a fuzzy memory.

The thought behind blue tongue is both deer were intact. Nothing ate on either one. I found that odd. Also - both deer were within 150 yards of each other. Went back a few day later and someone cut the head off the buck.

Like above, could be lots of things. The week before I found the buck - temps hit low 90s.
