It was a combination of two other threads that reminded me of the time when I found a fellow hunter laying on the roof of a box stand stripped down to his underwear. It was during the middle of the week and he had no idea others would be in the area. Now in his defense, it was warm that day and the stand was out in the open with no shade whatsoever. It was also during the off season when lease members often hunted hogs. Still, I can't help but chuckle when I think about how he jumped up after hearing me asking why the hell he was up there.

Had to have 7mag come jump me and Mrs. B off because I run the batter down.

My cousins grandpa had to take a #2 in the woods. Didn't get his suspenders out of the way and didn't notice it when he pulled them back up. Came back to the hunt camp with a strong odor.

Many years ago after the morning hunt, I walk into the middle of a thicket where no one hunted to take a leak. Little did I know another hunter had the same idea. He was in a full ghillie suit and I never saw him till he spoke up about 15 yards away. Surprised me more than embarrassed me.

It was on a corporate hunting lease, where I was one of the hosts. This was in the days when women were finally in the oil trading and shipping business. Our previously men-only sleeping area was now guys on one side and gals on the other. There were about 5 rooms per side, and the rooms had 2 bunk beds each. The gals didn’t hunt much, but they sure did drink, as did one guy I had invited (name of Cliff). Late in the night, he needed to pee, and decided to open the back door and pee, which he did. Then, still drunk, he made his way back to his shared room and climbed into the top bunk. Only problem with that was that walking back from that door, the guys rooms were on the left, whereas when walking from the main dining area the guys rooms were on his right. He counted 3 rooms, opened the door on his right and climbed into a top bunk…very naked. In the morning he climbed down from the top bunk with his ‘manliness’ in full view of the gal in the bottom bunk. There was much screaming and yelling. He ran back to his room, sober now. He was very embarrassed, and it was a fun topic in the whole trading industry for a while.

Later, I heard that the gals that had been in that room were discussing his “manliness” among the lady oil traders and schedulers. Apparently, Ol Cliff had nothing to be ashamed of.

Drained my hot water heater one afternoon during dove season and had opened the relief valve to help it drain faster. Then turned the water back on to fill the tank back up. While sitting at the camp picnic table waiting for the afternoon hunt my buddy who I had brought as a guest ask me why there is water pouring out the back of my building and I turn and look and am like WTF?
I had forgot to close the relief valve and flooded the floor in my cabin.

Locked my keys in my truck and my wife had to drive another key out to me 2.5 hours. She at least got a free meal out of the deal. Needless to say there is a key hidden on my truck somewhere now...

My granddad and I were hunting Christmas Eve and I buried the jeep about 3 miles from camp. Long story short we made it home at 6:00 pm. Only 4 hours late. Needless we had a house full of upset folks.
This was before cell phones, so they had no idea what had happened.

A good friend had drunk way too much. At bed time he went in the wrong bedroom and climbed in bed with a friend.

Definitely not a point of humor but I can remember when a hunter from a neighboring lease drank too much and passed out outside on a cold night and later died of pneumonia. No sure why other hunters there at the time left him outside but I can only guess they had drank too much themselves. He reportedly came to the lease sick that weekend and evidently sleeping out in the cold that night helped push his body over the edge.
