Yuck. This should be interesting. Looks like warfarin may be coming back...

I got a 1 view look before the pay wall. Sid Miller has been working on this for a while, now.

The original lawsuit was due to the warfrin that might be consumed by humans or other animals. Problem still exists - they tried to add a colorant to make tainted meat blue.

The lawsuit was a temporary restraining order, nothing more. The operative word here is 'temporary.' That just stopped the public use of the product, but not the testing of it. Now, that time has passed.

Blue was used in warfarin long before it was being used for hog bait. In fact, the blue most commonly used is bromadiolone and it has been used as a poison marker for more than 50 years.

Here is an article from 2017 noting the blue hog from California from 2015 or before, stained blue from rodenticide with blue dyed warfarin. https://www.wideopenspaces.com/what...-this-pig-that-has-the-internet-buzzing/

I saw nothing in any article that addresses the effect eating meat tainted with warfarin may have on someone who is already on blood thinners.

Pigs are a problem for many, but they are here, just like exotics in Florida. Make the best of it as you can, but adding this stuff to bait stations and all the critters that will eat it, from deer to mice, is going to cause much more harm to the big business of hunting, and the amount of rotting meat to feed predator's will cause a rapid rise in them, not to mention health hazards to people. Heck, go ahead, feed it to all the animals, and see where that takes you for the big bucks hunting brings in, who knows, prices on leases for hunting might drop when there's nothing to hunt.

It can stay in the human body 40 - 80 hrs. It reduces vitamin K, i.e. clotting. Used to be the main ingredient in rat poison. Suspect yotes and humans are hog predators. It could possible cause stroke in those taking blood thinners if eaten, hence the blue coloring. Guess the corporate farmers are the ones pushing this.

It takes up to five days for the hogs to die. A sounder of hogs can cover a big area in that amount of time. They’ll like die on someone else’s property who will be left with the mess.
This whole issue smells of impropriety.

The problem is, does your neighbor feel the same way?

If his neighbor learns how much it will cost, the neighbor will feel the same way.
