We are planning a paid 2 man pig hunt. Looking for a place with a lot of pigs, that will allow us to take a few. One that provides food and lodging for two hunters with good pig hunting under $2,000. Or no food or lodging, under $1000. Planning to take my adult son out there for some pig hunting and R and R.

Just a mini vacation for us men, and bring home some backstraps and meat for the grinder. Or maybe, some slready processed and ready to cook lol.

Looking for a location near to West-Central or Southwest Missouri. So Kansas, Oklahoma, or Arkansas.

What’s out there?

Double-check, but last I heard, hog hunting (or killing, really) in Kansas wasn't legal.

Not legal to hunt them on public conservation in Missouri. Legal on private ground but they blame hunters for releasing them.

Saw a thread here asking where the pigs gone… well obviously in Texas they are popular to hunt!

Typical government over reach. But now I am looking into a cheep deer lease where i can put up feeders and hunt pigs.

Boone County, AR is worth s look.

In part, because they have released them.

----------------------

With that said, there has been a "background population" in many areas for a long time, due to free ranging of hogs which was common up until the 50s and 60s in many parts of the US. My dad grew up near Cooper, Texas and his job every morning was to turn out the hogs in the morning and then head down to the bottoms and "whistle them up" in the evenings. Sometimes, he got all his hogs back. Sometimes, he was short. Sometimes, he had extras from the neighbors as the neighbors would do the same thing.

Wall Street in New York was built, in large part, to protect against feral hogs. Historic Jamestown had to build a stockade, not to protect against the Native Americans, but to protect against feral hogs.

---------------------

But let's not forget that the first release of feral hogs in the America's was so that they would go feral and provide a source of food (to be hunted) by returning explorers. Thank you, Columbus. Later, De Soto either lost or turned loose hogs in Florida proper. Ironically, these hogs came from a free range population in Cuba.

Hope you found a spot.
Bunch of guys from Wyoming down in Texas right now laying 'em down.
If you see a big black bus full of hunters give them some good ribbing, bunch of good guys fled the snow up here.
