Never do any wf hunting myself, so I rarely take notice of the wf migrations unless it's obvious. The neighborhood mutts have been yapping the last couple of nights at the haints, but tonight I figured it's the geese heading back. I had some extra trash to put in the can for the AM pickup, and it took me a bit to sort out the noise when I went out. Big big flocks of geese headed due north ( judging by the noise and the duration) Couldn't see anything because of the clouds and darkness, but there had to have been at least 3.7 gazillion of em. I stood there for about 5-7 minutes and they were honking when I went out, and still honking when I went back inside.
Is goose season over for yall wf hunters?

Is goose season over for yall wf hunters? The regular season is over but there is the conservation season that runs through March and is for “light geese” which includes Snow, Ross and Blue geese. It’s possible some are moving North but most likely you are seeing geese that are moving from the roost to feed and not actually migrating back North.

I'd agree w/Brady except our dark geese season doesn't end until Sunday.

lots of back and forth, some staying around then going north as it warms a little, then back south with a cold front, typically not traveling too far. It is all about the weather in Texas doing its thing.
