We had a great time! Very nice man! We found 4 coveys in north Texas from 10 to 3 today in the cold. He has some nice pointers, that iare awesome in tough North TX. The great thing about this hunt is we didn’t have any mistakes. My old mutts hadn’t smelled a bird in two years and acted like they’d been there.
I was expecting a cluster-fk.
We were working 1 dog one at a time. I just called a buddy of mine. He had asked me last week if I’d loan him Bonnie and Kate to add to his dog string in south Tx.I thought about no, but it’s not fair to let these mutts not do what they do best! Dogs are headed south.
