Anyone going squirrel hunting if we get snow or sleet? They go crazy here when winter precipitation hits.

Always liked hunting in the snow in Virginia, following all the tracks and whatnot.

I’m kinda new to squirrel hunting. Can you explain what happens when winter precip rolls in? I thought squirrels denned up when the weather got bad, but like I said, I’m still a rookie.
Are you saying they get really active just before the bad weather moves in? Or they get active during the snow and sleet? Or both? Do you change your tactics when you hunt during winter precipitation?
I have a lot to learn, so I appreciate any info you can share.
