Good Find....I used to sell meat items cheap like this. I always said, "I not making money, I`m making friends". Supermarket chains get caught with more inventory in their distribution warehouses than they can ship out to their stores sometimes, so they force the inventory on the stores, and they have to sell @ cost or below cost sometimes just to get rid of the inventory before the expiration date. Our regional supervisor didn`t like it, but he always said, "warehouses don`t have cash registers". January is always a good time for good buys if you are looking. Easter is another. I got some Boneless / Choice ribeye halves @ Walmart a few years ago just after Easter. They were very marbled and as good as any choice ribeye I ever ate. BTW... I bought all they had.

TP. Yes, it really pays to be thrifty and watch for good sales. That's why we buy buy those full size choice rib roasts at Thanks/XMas and cut our own ribeyes. Pork tenderloins and center cut loins are another great deal for chops. The one thing I don't usually go cheap on is chicken. It is cheap enough already

I passed through Walmart one day and they had ~150 1lb rolls of Jimmy Dean for $1 each. No doubt it was a mis-shipment or overstock situation. I limited myself to 10!
