City predators behave 180° different, toward structures and humans, from country predators.

Lots of little yapping dogs to eat. Coyotes in/around Fayetteville, NC and on Fort Bragg got pretty bad around 2010-2012. The city of Fayetteville eventually hired a group to kill them, they mostly shot them at night. Someone in my neighborhood lost a pet weekly if not daily. Coyotes darting between houses in the subdivision it was un freaking believable. Resulting from a bunch of anti-hunters conducting a university-funded study of coyotes on Fort Bragg. Killing them was forbidden for two straight years. They did not stop the squirrels from blowing out the transformer once or twice a week. It is what it is, i guess pets are bigger and easier to catch!

Oh and like 50% had rabies. Don’t quote me on that but it was very high rabies rate reported in the paper.

I imagine they hang out and or travel in the city creek bottoms during the day and really come out and hunt at night. Although the pics prove not exclusively.

That bobcat is sporting a pretty coat. Isn't that a beauty, I did a double take when I first saw it. It looked almost like a circular "jaguar pattern".

We live on a creek in a wooded area about a half mile from the Trinity, so we have a lot of animal traffic. This coyote was a pup from a litter of three that were around here a few months ago. it seems to have stayed behind and doesn't have the fear that most of them have. Otherwise, we just see them in the night and early morning hours.

It is what it is, i guess pets are bigger and easier to catch! They were real bad in my neighborhood before people started building fences. We have a lot of fields around our houses and big lots. Neighbor let his Jack Russell out one morning heard a yelp and watched coyote run off with it. I built the kids a treehouse on back fence line and we hunted them from it. Neighbor and myself would set up the predator call and normally within minutes we had a coyote. When the females went into heat they would drive my dog nuts.

The coyotes had a meeting at one of my deer feeders last night. Something must be dead near by
