Hit the Creek bottoms early in the dark, sneak and stalking. Managed 2 confirmed and one squealer that got up and disappeared Missed another that was running and jumping over logs like a deer. Fun way to start the year! Well, pics won't upload so there is that part of 2024. lol

Cool. I like the way you sneak up on those dead hogs. LOL. j/k Why don'tcha add 'em to the tally on the 2024 hog count thread? We had a poor year in 2023 and we just GOTTA do better in 2024.

Curious how much walking you do, and your overall rate of seeing hogs and actually getting a shot off.

Haha, I take pics for my family and friends but they are coming out as Jfif instead of Jpg, so won't upload. I sometimes take a short vid for my brother in Montana for fun, he likes that. I rarely add to the count because I really don't know how many I got sometimes I am on the runa nd don't go back to check or can't find them in the thick brush so don't want to lie about it. Curious how much walking you do, and your overall rate of seeing hogs and actually getting a shot off. I walk a few miles starting in the dark, will go again tomorrow morning. I know where they bed on this 400 acres for the most part so catch them going there or already bedded. By the time I am an hour or 2 in I know they are bedded and have to change tactics, a little slower, watch the wind, super quiet. Had one give me a stand off yesterday in the thick brush, those you have to be ready for hip shooting because they are ornery and will give you a charge if irritated enough.
