After a slow couple of days, this old guy sauntered onto the wheat field this afternoon. Glad the little spotter was around for a photo-op. I was hoping to use the Marlin 336 this year, but I knew it would be a longer shot and I didnt want to risk it. Briscoe county. 23” spread. Fun times, I like looking back when my family hunted deer, they started in the fifties, I started hunting in the late sixties,lots of memories, most of the older hunters are gone now except for an uncle.
