I rarely come on this forum much, I always busy in the knife shop I make and sell over 300 knives every year, that's a lot of sparks flying in my shop. I thought I'd share my latest knife. I love making Bowies and that's what started me making knives over 20 years ago.

This is a replica of a Civil War Era Bowie. Made from 5/32nds thick 8670, OAL 12 ¾, tip to guard is 7 ¼ . I added patina on the blade to give it the weathered look. I forged the guard from wrought Iron that come off a gate of the first Civil War Cemetery in the United States when it was being upgraded. I was just lucky enough to be able to purchase some years ago. The handle is Red Stag Anter with a leather spacer. I made the right-hand vertical carry sheath from raw hide. I priced this one at $500.00
