Just wondering if anyone has tips for the rut.

Heading to the woods tomoro morning.

Haven’t hunted this property ever.

Wondering what you guys would do.

My first thought was to corn the road and watch the road roflmao

What say ye?

I would suggest not corning the road because if they arent used to it you'll most likely just spook them. I'd say pick where you are gonna set, spray a little tiks 69 and wait patiently. It wouldnt hurt if you are setting a while you might try some simple rattling. later in the morning. Im hunting the line of anderson and houston counties and most of the bucks i see on camera now are briefly passing through. usually around 1-3 pm

Is that solid woods? Wheres the road? How many acres? Neighbors? What county?

Yes sir mostly solid woods, the road/trail is hard to see in the photo but it cuts diagonal upper left to lower right .

One neighbor, older guy. Shot a nice 8 point on opening day. 112 acres

Hunt the funnels at the NE and SW corners with the latter of the two being the most promising.

Surprised nobody on here said anything about the wind or asked what you found while scouting. Saturday forcast is for a NE wind. Sunday forecast is for SE wind. On 112 acres deer sign and wind direction should narrow down where to be.
