I was a bow mechanic in an archery pro shop for several years and when I left to start my career, the owner gave me the old bow press. I have had many thousands of bows in it and was a bit attached to it. I gave it a new paint job and got it in tip top shape. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/10/full-19470-402304-img_7207.jpeg)

Those are solid old presses. Looks great I set up a lot of hunters in the DFW area with that press. Good memories.

i miss having a press, though about getting one but the guy at Bass pro lets me use theirs if needed. Wife works there part time so i just take ours in if I need to. probably take her crossbow in next week, fraying on the serving, her wicked ridge is the worst bow for that i have ever had in the house.
i always found setting up and tuning bows to be enjoyable.

i always found setting up and tuning bows to be enjoyable. I wish I could have done it forever but it's not really a career. Helping folks get started by setting them up a bow and teaching them to shoot was a blast. Tricking out the 3D guy's bows to squeeze out every fps while doing it accurately was challenging too.
