My son got his 1st bow buck on our place in Young county Saturday evening. He has gotten does ,hogs etc,but the bucks always slipped him. So happy for him. Big mature 9 pt. Weighed 227 lbs on the hoof. He had fat layered up everywhere . I guess that protein was good. LOL! Very nice buck, this one is yours, not your son's? Any score #s or age estimates on this one? I'm also in Young, whereabouts in the county are you? Deer was in awesome condition.

Very nice buck, this one is yours, not your son's? Any score #s or age estimates on this one? I'm also in Young, whereabouts in the county are you? Deer was in awesome condition. This is my son's deer. By teeth at least 6 yrs old. We are on the Young/Throckmorton line about middle of county.

I'm in SW Young close to Murray, TX. I could tell he was mature by his head and coloration. To me looks to push 140+. We need to shoot for a Young county/Throckmorton county lunch or dinner get together this season.
