You’ve obviously missed the point or perhaps my sarcasm went straight over your head. Or maybe you really don’t see a problem shooting directly at a landowner’s fence post or any fence post for that matter. I would suggest you forget about using a T-post altogether and use a more suitable target hanger and frame that can be easily setup where there is already a safe and sufficient backstop. There are plenty of those already on the market.

I do have my Tposts set up in front of an already sufficient backstop.

Exactly. Can’t blame a product because an idiot uses it in an unsafe way.

That looks good. Im cheap so I torch a hole in my t post and use a clip to connect chain. I can see them selling a lot of tpost hangers for 20 a piece.

If you are worried about an attorney over the safety of of others, you have bigger issues.

I did mine differently. I have stacked cross ties, about 5 ft tall, that I screw a piece of plywood to. Then staple the paper target to the plywood. My shooting stations, actually salvaged desks and tables, are at 25, 50, and 100 yards.

Behind the ties I have a big pile of dirt.

I use dirt. Dirt is good.

But for longer distances, I have a wooden portable target stand. A small hill behind it.

We’ll just table for the time being what a landowner might think of bullets being fired directly at his/her fence, including those cases where they own the land on each side of it.

I found the item on the shelf of a local Walmart but suspect it can found in other stores as well.

Well, if we are going to condemn a product because somebody is too stupid to use it in a safe an legal manner, I wonder what else people would be complaining about....

Pretty soon, people will start thinking that firearms are the problem. Why stop at target stands that don't go anywhere. Blame the guns that shoot the bullets across the property lines, LOL. If only there was some sort of being that could be blamed for bad behavior instead of inanimate objects.

I don't know how much thought y'all have put into it, but just about every fence I see is a potential excellent target holder. You don't even need t-posts. It is just amazing what you can hang off of barbed wire or staple to a wood fence/post. Heck, a little duct tape and you can make a vehicle a nice target holder.

The problem isn't with the target or target stand. Now, it this was supposed to be a hand held target, you could probably get some traction for the product being bad, but come on, what ranch doesn't have a bunch of extra t-posts laying around somewhere?

That's good. I'm almost out of Bernie signs, then I'll switch to my Biden's too.

True on the lawn darts, but I think T-posts are pretty safe from going away any time soon due to misuse.
