we get little whisps of fall here in the hill country. Still, gearing up for the fall season. First year in almost 20 years that I won't go dove hunting.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Been cutting and stacking firewood for days. Beginning to wonder if this is a good idea. Worked in the shade, so it wasn’t too bad. And, I don’t work for too many hours since I’m getting a few years on me.
It will get cold, won’t it? I have a lot of firewood.

Leaves are turning and falling, temps down into 30's at night. Fall is here in the mountains.
Had a dusting of snow this past week up higher too.
Bigger front coming in next Sunday, just in time for opening of elk season.
