The year of the big freeze it killed a good portion of each tree. I cut them back to the good part and last year there were some figs but they did not ripen. This year lots of figs, smaller than in past years but only one has ripened..
How are your fig trees doing?

Some neighbors have a fig tree, but hate figs, so I get the figs. The tree has not fully recovered from the freezes and is sort of starting regrowth.

My trees recovered the growth I cut off and added additional growth, the figs just will not ripen for some reason.

Since the big freeze and cutting the tree back, this year seems that we have the most figs (still green) since we have had it. The tree is about 12 feet tall.

Mine was the size of half a single wide before the freeze. It's back to 1/3 it's size and producing. Figs look good. I keep it watered though.

We moved before last Thanksgiving and the place we bought has several fruit trees on a sprinkler system. There was a tiny fig tree. It died. The guy also had a tiny orange tree, and instructed us that we needed to wrap it before any freeze. This ain't the Valley Bozo. There was a big one we had at a place in South Gillespie County. After one hard freeze it never was the same. My mom canned the figs for a few years.
