Or ditches get mowers. Either way, the mower got stuck in the ditch. I wasn’t attempting to mow the ditch, we just slid down a 24 degree slope into it.

Get mine stuck in sand all the time. Put it in neutral grab the front end and get to pulling.

Zero turn is neat and fast, but I know for a fact a traditional riding mower deals with hills ditches and sand significantly better! I also believe my old rider had a better/cleaner cut than the zero turn.

Last time I did that I bent the tow hook on the mower. When my mower is turned off it locks the wheels, I can’t leave it running in without the parking break on and didn’t want to just drag it because it doesn’t drag straight. So with the winch I was able to work the mower controls and winch simultaneously up

There's a little plunger thingy in the back that unlocks the wheels. I had to move ours recently because the drive pully idler took a dump while it was being used.

This didn't turn out how I expected. I thought it was going to be stuck forever waaaay down in that chasm.

I figured all riding mowers did. Today I learned, I guess, that is not the case. Though my low end model John Deere does, so I guess that kind of makes it a little fancy.

Yes there is. I have 1 lever per hydraulic motor, so 2 of them. They require you to get under the mower to release them. Didn’t really see that happening as you have to stick your hand under the mower just behind the rear tires. It’s hard enough when it’s just sitting on the shop floor.

Zero turns are great mowers, but terrible if there’s just a little mud.

If you know how to properly drive a ZTR you won’t destroy the yard.

If you properly knew how to drive a beached whale it would never get stuck either. How has that worked out?

Yeah. I’d like to see you navigate it around my lease and not get stuck.
