we had him on camera for several years but never during a hunt. Found his skeleton. I believe he died of old age. [Linked Image]

Similar experience this past year. Found my target buck from 2018-2021 dead this past fall. Based off the antlers he died just after shedding in September of 2021. Was in perfect body condition so assuming old age. Not sure if the shedding period is a risk period for bucks or not when it comes to disease

I don’t know if it was old age. He declined rapidly during hunting season in 2020. Plot twist, it’s the same deer eek2
