we had him on camera for several years but never during a hunt. Found his skeleton. I believe he died of old age. [Linked Image]

Similar experience this past year. Found my target buck from 2018-2021 dead this past fall. Based off the antlers he died just after shedding in September of 2021. Was in perfect body condition so assuming old age. Not sure if the shedding period is a risk period for bucks or not when it comes to disease

Pretty neat that you were able to find him. Like most I’m sure we have several that have disappeared over the years, would love to know what happened to them.
