He’s 9 and was trying out his new 20 gauge semi for the first time this weekend. He finally figured it out and was breaking quite a few clays. I thought the pic my wife captured of the wad and clay in the same frame was pretty cool. He’s really looking forward to dove season. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/05/full-8588-390000-img_4974.jpeg)

That a perfect picture. Might want to frame that for a birthday or Christmas present.

Outstanding! That is about the same age as mine was when he started. Sign him up with a 4 H or SCTP team.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

Keeping the tradition alive. I started my boys out with Remington Model 1100 20 gauges. When they were younger I told them they were "autoloading single shots".....you pull the action back, put one shell in and after you shot you didn't have to pull the action back it would stay open for you to put another shell in! They were amazed when I told them you could put 3-5 shells in it.
