Just wondering if anyone uses or has used a 50 caliber muzzle brake for their riffle. Saw this for sale on Muzzleloaders.com:

Seems like a waste of money to me.

What would a person gain with one? Blow a bunch of smoke on you.

It should ....hence the name muzzle brake! I shoot a heavy load for elk, and sighting in a 300gr Barnes Express with 150 gr pellets will certainly be felt the next day!

Totally unnecessary! But, that’s modern muzzleloading for you.

Agree!
Does it come with a funnel or guide so your powder doesn't exit the muzzle break when you dump it in and also guide the projectile of choice?
Something else to fitz with and carry in your pouch when hunting.

The item description did not discuss any loading issues. It did mention the use of several brands of BP. Read the bottom third about what they used and their results.

Some of these modern muzzleloaders are slinging ELR bullets very fast and flat, the recoil can be pretty stiff.
