What would a person gain with one? Blow a bunch of smoke on you.

What would a person gain with one? Blow a bunch of smoke on you. Reduced recoil?  It should ....hence the name muzzle brake! I shoot a heavy load for elk, and sighting in a 300gr Barnes Express with 150 gr pellets will certainly be felt the next day!

Totally unnecessary! But, that’s modern muzzleloading for you. Agree! Does it come with a funnel or guide so your powder doesn't exit the muzzle break when you dump it in and also guide the projectile of choice? Something else to fitz with and carry in your pouch when hunting.

Some of these modern muzzleloaders are slinging ELR bullets very fast and flat, the recoil can be pretty stiff.
