dealing with a company that sells duck blinds and water control devices.

we had to cancel an order prior to it being built, were promised a refund back in first week of march. well here I am now in mid may and no refund just lie after lie after lie.

I hate people like this, if it weren't so far to their shop I would go collect in person just on principle but instead come monday our attorney will be directed to file federal wire fraud charges, this is an appropriate charge due to how I instigated the conversations (texts are admissible).

very po'd at these folks.

fyi, the company is osceola machine works in osceola arkansas. I strongly recommend you not buy from these people.

They probably don't have the cash to issue a refund 'cause they run their "business" hand-to-mouth.

I've found most "custom" builders are this way, no matter the product. Sometimes, they'll eventually get you the product, but it's months of lies and bs excuses before that.

I do not tolerate men who don't do what they say they're gonna do.

I would never recommend them. I guess if you're not from close by in Arkansas then they have no problem screwing you.

I guess you didn't use a credit card, otherwise it would be an easy fix. Just dispute it, CC company gives you a credit, and they deal with the lying company. Done this many of times over the years.

Doesn’t solve your problem, but Agri Drain has been great to deal with on WCS for our projects.

Osceola sold a few years ago. I don’t know the old owners or the new owners. We got a 12’ blind with a dog box incredibly cheaper during the changeover.

Sorry you are having issues.

what was the timeline on canceling the order? Personally, once I put money down on something I'm not cancelling the order because I feel like I would be breaching a contract (my word).

But, I don't keep attorneys on retainer either.

It's a good point and I do not disagree with you. But if you place an order on something, and later decide you do not need it, there is nothing wrong with calling and asking, "Is it too late to cancel my order?" Apparently, this company told him they would refund it, so that sets a new verbal contract, they should do what they say. But it could have been a clerk that OP talked to that didn't not understand the cancelation policy...We need more information to fully analyze. smile ani
