I like both. Why I never had them together? No good reason.

Yes please grill
I'm heading to NOLA in a couple weeks. On way back I'm loading up on boudin in Scott at "The Best Stop". Ain't had no better boudin anywhere.

Zummo's Jalapeno Boudin, you can get it at most grocery stores, it's not as good as the really great boudin out of Louisiana but it's a decent substitute.

If you go the South route Breaux Bridge is a great place to buy Boudin. Oppaloosa is another good place.

Take some tips from a “regular user.”

If you go to Scott don’t just buy boudin at the Best Stop. You have Kartchner’s which to me is better than Best Stop but it is very close. You also have Billy’s and Don’s and lots of others.

To me, smoked boudin is better than regular.

Boudin egg rolls with either pepper jack or cream cheese are delicious and highly addictive.

Boudin balls are fried boudin deliciousness.

Cracklins / gratons are like a heart attack in a brown paper sack but they don’t have any carbs … LOL!!

Enjoy.

Fresh cracklins need to be more readily available in Texas.

I've gotten fresh and smoked from best stop, smoked was our favorite. There is a little place on the west bound side of 10, think it's near or next to a Landry's that had some pretty awsome boudin balls and cracklins. Think it's in Breaux Bridge.
