Midway has this on sale: Sig Sauer Tango MSR Rifle Scope 30mm Tube 1-6x 24mm 1/2 MOA Adjustments Illuminated MSR BDC6 Reticle with Cantilever Picatinny-Style Mount
Anyone have one and/or would like to share comments? Looking to replace my Romeo5 w/magnifier for something economical but decent for <200yd shots from a Ruger MPR.

I have 2 scopes similar to the 1-6 you have. Mine is a 1-4 that I shot in competition for many years and a little hunting with it. They work very well for an AR platform. Sig makes a pretty good scope, also.

I have the SIG tango and I have major buyer remorse. Its too bulky and too heavy.
Shouldve paid more and stuck with Leopold.

While both are very nice, they are out of my price range.

They have always been good to me, plus they are way cheaper, I ordered one today, already got shipping info. Have done me right in the past as well, but that was a few years ago, so who knows

If I was buying new, I’d be tempted by the Leupold 2-7 Firedot. But what I had laying around was an extra Leupold 4.5-14 with the Varmint Hunter reticle. No Firedot though. The scope and rifle are a fairly light package, and the girl visitors had no problem shooting offhand yesterday.
I guess a lot depends on what you want the rifle and scope to be set up for. I could work with a quality 1-7 or a 1-8 easily.

I don’t shoot competitions, only hunt and target shoot with my AR. Elected to go with a Trijicon Accupoint 3-9. Very happy with it.

While I don’t own an AR and never have I can’t imagine not having a 1x on the bottom end. The much cheaper SWFA 1-4 is still a very good scope. I’ve used on quick point and shoot type guns in the past and was very pleased with it. It’s illuminated and it’s a functional daylight illumination. https://www.swfa.com/swfa-1-4x24-ss-30mm-riflescop-109309.html

When I bought my Sig, my buddy (much more knowledgeable about all things firearm related than mysel), came and got it, Took it down to Benny at Triangle in Corpus and brought it back that evening. Trigger job, sling and a Bushnell scope were added. Never had a Bushnell scope prior and had not been satisfied with some Bushnell binos I had purchased long ago and later discarded. Pretty sure the owner of Triangle was Bushnell sponsored in his three gun shooting endeavors. I have really appreciated this set up. It has done very well for me. At less than $200, it is very price friendly.

I like the PA 3x Micro Prism. They are only 8 ounces. Not a lot to go wrong with fixed optic and recessed optic adjustments. Shake awake technology for battery life. Point and shoot.

Prismatic sights always made a shipload of sense to me, especially when the purpose of a rifle was more or less "social" if need be.

Ended up buying the Burris RT-6. 1-6, illuminated. I like it so far.

just adding something to this. I helped 2 buddies put ARs together and both went with the Bushnell AR 1-8, under 300
Very nice little scopes.
