When you're getting tired of potatoes or chips at dinner, just make extra breakfast grits. Turn them into Garlic Cheddar grits with lots of salt and pepper, spread in a baking pan, and put in the fridge to set up. Then at dinner, you can cut them out with your biscuit cutter, flour dredge and egg wash, roll in panko crumbs and fry. Had all these little jars in the fridge, with just a little sweetness left in each, so blended it all up for a sauce with a bite. Delicious!!!

The thread on Dr Pepper got me craving some sandwiches for tonight. Pulled pork sandwich, with coleslaw topping. Fried grits with a dewberry-raspberry-apple jalapeƱo honey sauce. I ate too much!!! smile

Great idea! Those look tasty and would be an excellent alternative! Pulled pork sandwich looks very enticing as well.
