Does anyone use a T post trail camera mount that actually works? By “works”, I mean one that keeps the camera in place and doesn’t shift over time. The design flaw in all the mounts I’ve used is they depend on some form of tension to keep things in place rather than a mechanical lock. I’d just use a tree if I could, but that’s not really a viable option on the property I hunt.

That option above probably works, but pricey for $33.

Just get a 2x4, drill a pair of holes near the top, middle, and bottom and attach it to a t-post by inserting baling wire or zip ties through the holes that you drilled with tight tension. Now, you can mount the camera to the 2x4.

I usually attach cam to the feeder pen. But when I used a tpost I would duct tape a piece of pvc to the groove in the tpost then just wrap the cam strap around the pvc and tpost like around a small tree. The round pvc allows adjustment of cam from side to side.

2 eye bolts with a bolt, 2 washers and a lock washer thru the eyes.

drill a hole in the t-post flange and put one eye bolt thru (will need 2 nuts, washers, lock washer) put one eye bolt thru hole in t-post with washer/nut on each side to lock in place. mount camera to the other eye bolt (need same thread as back of camera) with a washer & nut to lock camera down. adjust the bolt thru the eyes of the eye bolts to direction you want camera to point and tighten. Tractor Supply or Home Depot for all the hardware.. pretty simple.

No kidding - duct tape? Where do you find the used PVC?

I just use big zip ties on t-posts. May have to also use a stick for better aiming. Works well until an overzealous cow gets involved.

Yep or wire. Sticks/rocks can be handier than a pocket on a shirt.

Cuddeback Tpost mount is great, only for their camera.

Only Hud would assume the pvc was used…..

Take a five gallon bucket, take a cedar post (or I use a landscape timber cut in half), fill the bucket with sand and there you go. Easier to move around than having to pull a t-post out of the ground to move it.

Is the sunshade part of the mount or sold separately? I don't see it under their info.

Sold separately. You could easily jerry-rig a piece of tin to do the same thing.

Wow, so $45 for the Mount + sunshade. Add another $6 for a t-post, and it's over $50 just to mount the trail cam. Hopefully you don't have too many cameras to mount.

I’ve tried a few and this is the best one I’ve had and it’s not even close…

Have a couple of these up for about 6 months so far they’re still holding up. Cost $12-16 depending on whether or not they’re on sale.

Cinder block enclosure with one missing block for camera? roflmao

I know the cows you speak of and they are hell on a trailcam. Only thing that's gonna stop them from moving the camera, is to build feed pens they can't get in. The one we have by camp gets moved within 2 weeks of fixing it everytime. I think im gonna try a wooden post next time just to see if it works any better.
