Been shooting this same load for the past month. Blowing out 40° shoulder. Well I guess higher Texas humidity and 70° temps was too much for the Hornady Bullet.

I have a .17 Remington I can't shoot in the rain, but this seems like too fast a twist rate to me.

Thanks for posting. A few years back I was hunting in freezing rain and had a Match BTHP out of my .308 do the same thing. Had some folks on here tell me it was impossible, etc. All but called me a liar.

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason! nidea

We are seeing some of the 6mm 108 ELD-M bullets vaporizing in the 6mm CM. The 7mm 180 ELD-M were in the 28 Nosler when you get them up over 3100-3200 fps. I heard they went to a thicker jacket now to prevent this???

I have vaporized a few in the 22-250 and 17 Remington. It would not surprise me in others. The bullets I have vaporized were from Hornady and Berger.
