We are looking for a new group to lease one of our pastures. It’s 900acres and high fenced on 3 sides and we own the section on the other side of low fence. We are in NE Schleicher county. There is a nice 4 bed/ 3bath double wide in place for use and an additional rv hookup. We would really like one large family to lease or really close group of friends. Because of this section being high fenced on three sides we want to stick to a very strict management program of the deer herd with plenty of supplemental feed in the off season. Over the past three years we have taken 2 150 class bucks and two 140 class bucks. Pictures can be provided. That being said, there may be a year that goes by where a nice trophy may not be available to shoot (it’s hunting). There are plenty of cull/management bucks to be shot. No exotics. Realistically there should be no more than 4 feeders setup to properly hunt the pasture maybe five if you have a house feeder. That being said based on historical harvest data. We do not want more than 8 bucks taken off the section per year. Including 2-3 trophies a year only if they meet the criteria (6y/o). This is my families land and we care a lot about the land and deer herd and want a good group that enjoys it and takes care of it as we have. We would like to get 20k a year +protein/feed (probably ~4k with current feed prices) for it. Please send me a pm if you fit the bill and understand what we’re looking for.
