I know it’s early, but looking for someone who puts on a great dove hunt. 5 of my buddies, from out of state, are looking for a 3-4 day hunt, so it will be 6 of us in total.
I prefer no more than 2 hours from Dallas. Someone with a lodge would be a huge plus.

I hope we have doves to go with the sunflowers. Last year was the weirdest dove year I have ever seen. Drought maybe? But doveweed everywhere; sunflowers all over, and very few doves. I’m hoping I’m not seeing a change in flight patterns and or the dominance over the local morning dove by the whitewing or collared dove.

Whitewings have taken over around here(Killeen area); at least in the neighborhoods. See them year round now as opposed to them migrating out sometime in October. Only see one or two mourning doves around the feeders. Whitewings will load up in a quarter acre yard I've seen em up to 100 or so in my little backyard alone midsummer. Eurasians are casual visitors as well though their population seems pretty low compared to what I saw when I lived in Colorado.

If you get near a field right on the outskirts of a city(any city) you can murder the whitewings. They will fly a pattern from the city to the field every day. Towards the red River from burkburnett is a perfect example. What I don’t like about white wings is that … they are way to easy to hit, big, slow.

+1 on Ranger Creek Goose. I've been using them for a decade now and Justin always runs a great operation.
