Needing a spotter setup and looking at these 2 in particular for my price range. Both will be the 15-45X65 versions

Anyone have experience with both?

I've read a bunch of reviews online and it looks like the Athlon is the better of the two scopes.

Doug has them both, $599 for the Leo and $650 for the Athlon, hoping they have a sale soon.

What says the THF?

I have the Athlon Ares G2 15-45x65 angled. My first spotter. Wasn't sure if I'd want one. I like it and the size works great for my backpack hunts. Bought it from gr8fuldoug along with a tripod.

My botnet is bigger than yours.

You won't be sorry. Performance is excellent, and I have Meopta S2's to compare. The Ares was stellar on my buddy's aoudad hunt this past weekend.

Thanks, this will be my first spotter too. Not sure why I haven't bought one before, just never really a need. Tired of barrowing everyone else's at the matches. Only took me 2 years rofl

Good to hear, all the videos and reviews I've read on it were really good.
