In my experience, after many years of marriage, that is a result of following instead of leading. It happens to all of us from time to time, except for maybe a few elite THFers who may chime in. Just hug her, tell her you love her, and don't let the little things bother you. Just ask yourself are these annoyances something you will regret on your death bed.

Events I organize usually are well thought out and have contingencies with everyone on the same page.

Events she organizes I'm typically just along for the ride, ready to jump in for a quick fix if called upon.

Years ago, I heard an idea on a hunting podcast, of all things. When my wife and I recognize we are heading into an argument, we both rate it on a scale of 1-10 for how.important this issue is to each of us. For example, we disagreed about what color to paint our bedroom. We saw a fight coming and she said it was a 7 for her. Though I disagreed about the color, it was a 3 for me, so I walked away. Likewise, we were discussing new cabinets for the garage. We had very different ideas of what to get. I told her it was an 8. She told me to get whatever I wanted.

It is really helpful to know that if we are gonna have a fight, it's because we both really care about the issue.

With the ways somes of you guys talk, I am just Glad Wifeypoo made me marry her.

Actually my day to day goal is to make her happy and life usually works out for the better. Happy wife, happy life is a true story. Sometimes it’s awful inconvenient for me, but she does the same on my behalf.

My wife doesn’t like changing plans, if it’s her idea or her family causing the change it’s ok but she still doesn’t like it. If it’s my idea or my family, oh hell it’s the end of the world as we know it.

Vacations are getting harder. She wants to do this.I want to do that. A few years ago I wanted to get us a vrbo house at cedar creek and spend a few days fishing. She just insisted that we didnt need the $200 per night house with the docks, in the cove that had a bar area set up, 3 year old house, and so on. Instead she liked this rustic house that was $100 per night. Well, I saw the writing on the wall and said whatever she wanted, we'll get it. And we did. The house was about a 1970's small house. no TV service except antannea that would only work at night. The house next to it was a mobile home that was fallinhg down, grass about 4' tall. The house on the other side was a nicer house with a nice backyard and a dock. Just so happens to be the same backyard in the pictures of the place we were in. And it was private. The drive into the place took forever because we had to go 2 mph to keep from blowing out the trailer tires. Needless to say, we made it work. Now she agrees that i am the person in charge of finding us a place to stay.

"last minute changes in plans"....??? Im not used to that, so I guess Im lucky. She has owned her own business for a few decades so shes pretty much got it together. I think Im pretty much the same way, but I find her picking up my slack if I ever drop it.

You don't have to be a woman to make last minute changes, I know plenty of males who are flaky like that. I don't waste my time with those people.

Just remember they are all crazy it's just the amount of crazy you're willing to deal with.

In my mid-20s, and after a string of particularly tumultuous relationships, I told myself I was going to find one who was not crazy and keep her. I literally met my wife 10 days later and we have been together now for 33 years. Not saying she doesn't have her moments, but she is like a .1 on the 10 point bat-s... crazy scale.
