Who'd have thought this would be a thing? I guess there's someone out there collecting just about anything these days.
I was looking for a replacement bulb for my old Surefire E1 Executive (with the teardrop bezel) the other night since I just put my last spare in it a few weeks ago, only to find the light is just about obsolete. Looks like I can get a led replacement for the older incandescent bulb, but what I learned about the light in my research has me wondering if I should just stow it away.
Found two of the same models I have selling on Ebay for around $250 each. Mine was given to me by a friend many years ago, but even then they cost less than $100. Even found a few forum threads online speaking to that model and how desirable it is among collectors.
I just found it odd to stumble into having something like a beater flashlight I've used for years actually increase in value while I owned it.

If this is what you are describing, I have several I bought many many years ago to keep in each safe to look for things I can't find. I even have bulbs etc. for each. Frio

There are a handful of early Surefire lights that are collectible and go for a few thousand dollars a piece.

I wish I could remember exactly what I paid for them. I bought 8 at one time so it should stick in my mind but it has been many years ago. I bought the Mn01 bulb at the same time. I have those in a box. At the rate they are used, none will have any wear on them and the bulbs should last till I am gone.
