This is a PSA. It took me over two and half years for Aaron and backyard taxidermy to finish mine and my buddies deer mounts. The entire process was nothing but excuses, broken promises, and lies. You cannot tell me it took that long because “taxidermy is an art form”. Not sure if anyone else has had problems with them but he never has a problem working on his shop when there is hundreds of Mounts to be worked on. If you are smart take your mounts somewhere else unless u have not Problem waiting forever.

I have been very pleased with Ericks taxidermy outside of decatur. Good work and reasonable turnaround if you are looking for an alternative in the area.

In December 2020, I remember reading that game wardens seized 22 rotting deer from there. Most were found deboned in plastic coolers where no air could circulate.

Yeah that was during processing season. Really surprised he is still in business because no one wants to work for him. Dude is always full of excuses
