Looking good! Are you seeing any Blue-winged teal? I saw one last week ant it looked like it was in full plumage. Real pretty birds.

Hi - I'm using either the Canon 500L f/4 or Sony 600 f/4 for most of my shots. Those were all with the Sony. Looking good! Are you seeing any Blue-winged teal? I saw one last week ant it looked like it was in full plumage. Real pretty birds. I just saw a group of 20 plus yesterday evening but they were too far away to get any good shots. There are around 200 being reported at Hagerman up on Texoma, along with 3 cinnamon teal. It's been a great extended photo season but just this week most of the ducks holding on my favorite roost have scattered. A friend sent me a pic today from near the Michigan/Indiana border and their lake was covered up with divers that had just arrived.

You have mad skills brother. With most of the ducks heading north, my favorite roost is only holding a few ducks this week so I nearly didn't even bother to try for any shots due to such poor chances at a flight shot.
