I’ve been thinking about a first AR purchase, the Ruger has been at top of the list but for this price I’m very interested. Does anyone have reason to avoid it?

I’ve been thinking about a first AR purchase, the Ruger has been at top of the list but for this price I’m very interested. Does anyone have reason to avoid it? It "feels" awfully cheap. It might be fine. No way to know without handling it and shooting it. I purchased a Springfield Armory SAINT for my first AR. It has gone bang every time I pulled the trigger. I have since built what I consider better rifles, but I still own the Springfield. I would buy from a local seller/shop if possible so you can handle it and have someone show you how it works/breaks down. If money is tight, maybe do some trading with a seller on here. Good luck. The only reason to avoid any AR is that you will end up owning 5 or 10 or 100 and wanting another one.

Thanks, I appreciate you. The price is very tempting and even though it would be my first I don’t want something that feels too cheap. Guess I’ll hold out for something else.

I'm not connected with them in anyway, except as a customer. I have several of their offerings, one of them for probably going on 12 years. They all work and I've never had an issue. They have some videos on youtube you can check out.
If they sucked I wouldn't recommend them here, just saying.

I bought a 300 Blackout rifle from them several years ago. I've since built up a lower receiver with a Magpul stock and a Geissele trigger but I'm still using the upper. I put the lower on an AR-15 that I built up on the cheap. Both the lower and upper from Radical Firearms are still working well. The 300 BLK is my primary hog rifle. It shoots well, is accurate, and has never given me any trouble.
I have two unwritten rules: 1. 2.

Had a couple Radicals. One was ok. One was a turd. The turd went back to them and still didnt run properly. Ended up selling it and and disclosing issues.
I wouldnt buy another.

BBBBAAADDDD experience with "Radical" when they started and I will not give them any money for anything now.
Your mileage may vary.
Pass the gravy.

We're on our 4th $400 Radical but as a group, we have purchased a dozen. All of them have functioned great.
