Wondering what deer protein, if any, contains some type of wormer? Would a lower percentage of protein combined with a wormer be more beneficial than the higher percentage of protein without wormer? Don't ever seem to hear of any deer protein advertising any wormer is why I ask.

They sell medicated livestock protein pellets, typically I think they recommend ~4lbs per 100lb animal (sheep). The problem is that you can't regulate how much a deer will eat. I doubt anyone makes a medicated deer feed since protein is all free choice.

I would personally not feed dewormer unless I knew my animals had a problem, and that is speaking just for livestock not game animals. I would be concerned that overuse of products like dewormers can cause issues similar to antibiotic resistant bacteria and herbicide resistant weeds. If there is an issue with worms in deer on your ground it is likely indicative of other problems with the habitat, such as a lack of residual vegetation, which helps prevent the snout contacting the soil, which is where worms enter the system.

This will happen for sure... I rotated between three different wormers with goats to keep this from happening

Interesting. Feel pretty confident some on here have reported using it in the past. STX mentioned treating corn with liquid ivermectin one time. Not sure beyond that.

Lyssy & Eckel makes one. I forget the % of protein but it would me about $1100.00 a ton. Now with 13 - 2000 lb. feeders scattered around my ranch, I really have no way of controlling when or how much they eat. It's based on a 3 day schedule. I have more control over the water thus that would be the route I would go. However our deer show no sign of worms so I may not even go the water route.
