As I sit here in my office answering all kinds of emails from all over the world I started wondering. I have so many requests for bow hunting, but what is your expectation of a bow hunting camp?
Please tell me more.

I've been on far fewer paid hunts than most on here but I'll list a few things that I would think are a given. I'm sure others will chime in with better, more specific suggestions.
- Ground blinds/tripods/tree stands that are close enough to your feed, water, trail, etc for a bow shot (for most within 25 yards or even closer if using trad)
- If a ground blind, one roomy enough to comfortably and quietly draw a bow in
- If a ground blind, one that is dark inside and preferable with carpeting to muffle errant sounds
- If a tree stand/tripod, set in a spot with plenty of background cover to break up the hunters' silhouette
- Good trackers that can quietly follow spoor allowing the bowhunter to get a followup shot
- Laundry services so that the hunter can minimize the amount of clothing he needs to take while still being able to reduce his scent for the hunt each day
- A place to practice or check his sights after arriving at your concession
I'm sure there are others but that's what I came up with off of the top of my head. Hope it helps.
Pablo

^^^^ He covered it well I would say but maybe add additional blinds for varying wind directions.

If you provide laundry at least use a free and clear detergent. I hate my hunting clothes having some nasty flowery scent. Don't split the hunts up into three or four sits a day. Unless it's just moving spots to maximize opportunities. Send a lunch and drinks out with the hunters. I flew 8,536 miles to hunt. Not enjoy sitting around the lodge. Meals from game taken would be nice. I can get pork chops, chicken, even beef steak every day at home. Guides or PHs that are at least considerate of their smokes. I cannot stand cigarette smoke. I understand smokers need to and it may not adversely affect the hunting, but it adversely affects my sinuses and lungs. Decent targets in camp to practice on. I'm a traditional shooter and I shoot every day. In camp before every sit. I hate having to search for arrows because they blew through a shot out target. A really good tracking dog. Or two.

My only expectations in a bow only camp are:
1. You have proper archery stands set up at realistic shot distances.
2. You are not mixing groups of rifle hunters and bow hunters together. I.E, the animals you are hunting haven’t been pressured by rifle hunters for two months prior to “bow camp”.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Apologies for not getting back to the post earlier. Thank you to everyone who has made a comment, it is highly appreciated. Most of the requirements have been covered in all our areas but I might have to improve on one or two minor things. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/03/full-62136-383517-50321170_2294724150545959_5809266111941705728_n.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/03/full-62136-383518-53274732_2370546212963752_7540035974001065984_n.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/03/full-62136-383519-1653854_743179739033749_1331485264_n.jpg)
