The rocket surgeon that developed this device must have some place reserved in Hades. How ridiculous. What a POC. If you need the spout, I would suggest cutting it off just below that there red thingie.

Thank goodness you can still get normal spouts off Amazon. Those things are spawns of Satan.

I gutted that spout. POS. It forced me to build a 12v pump so I don’t have to lift the tank anymore.

Years ago, drove out past Sanderson with a VP from, get this, VP Racing Fuels. He purported to be on the Federal Committee for the implementation of this "better mousetrap". Said it was a mockery. "Pre-ordained" comes to mind. I also met (spent a week with him in Utah) the sole landowner on Ed Bangs' Reintroduce the Wolf Committee and already knew how they worked (or maybe how they didn't).

This may be the ONLY thread that everyone agrees on. I do.
I roll with redchevy, but I thought they WERE for gas.

Last one I bought stated it was chemical resistant but not intended for fuel. Think that’s how they get around the rules.

Lots of gas can vents...I bought these but ended up having to pull them and seal them because they would leak around where I drilled the hole into the can.

I use new cans, throw the safety spout away, get old spouts off eBay for a couple of bucks and drill/screw a tire valve in to vent. Just take the guts out of the valve. It even comes with a metal cap.

The jacka-s that developed these never poured gas out of a can/container. realmad

When I see a can along the highway, I always look to see if it has the old style spout. If so I pick it up.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

A metal building lap screw works (the short fat ones).
