This is one of five coyotes that blew in on us and got wind off the FREQ. Two coming together in the first wave, followed by two other individuals and a fifth that I didn't see but Mike did. They came fast and within 10 feet of the FREQ, swapping directions as they smelled my stink off the caller. All of them were out of sight for about a minute when I switched to a recording of one of my bluetick puppies crying when he was 5 days old. All of the coyotes returned to the call and I was able to dump this one. Mike got a shot at another as it was on the way out. In over 60 years of calling, I have never seen a coyote wind me or the caller and return. Since using the FREQ, I have seen it happen three times in two years... We also got some crazy good footage of a javelina trying to eat the FREQ that will be aired on CARNIVORE. Adios, Gary

Gary, sounds like you have created an amazing device for predator calling.
Were you using a decoy with these sits (the bobcat one as well) or just the caller?
Well done sir!

We always have a good time with Mike and for some strange reason, generally see something extremely rare. Adios, Gary

Way to go Gary, can't wait to see some this action on Carnivore! What kind of call/sound had the javelina so interested......corn feeder?? They came to a grown cottontail distress, thinking someone had captured one of the little ones. I shot a photo of Steve's computer screen to show how close the mad javi got to the FREQ that I will try to post. He actually bumped it with his nose and then went to popping his teeth. I was afraid that he was going to wreck the FREQ, so I turned it off. Adios, Gary

Good work! Keep killing them devils
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Looks like a healthy or was healthy Yote by the way what is FREQ? The FREQ is the first and only electronic game call that will produce a full spectrum sound including the ultrasonic frequencies that occur naturally. To date, all electronic game callers, including Burnham Brothers, FoxPro, Lucky Duck, whatever produced frequencies that peak at 15,000-17,000 Hz while every distress sound that we have recorded on our ultrasonic recorder and tested has gone over 40,000 Hz, most over 50,000 Hz. The FREQ replicates the actual sound frequencies from 200 Hz up to 50,000 Hz by employing a very sophisticated speaker system. When I was young, I could hear frequencies to approximately 20,000 Hz, today after shooting thousands and thousands of rounds with no hearing protection, I doubt that I can hear frequencies over 10,000 Hz. A coyote hears frequencies to 45,000 Hz and a cat to 64,000 Hz. This explains why the first time you call in an area with the standard e-caller, it will work very well but we see the critters, especially the coyotes educate to it very rapidly and by the third trip in the area, the coyotes bark at you when you turn the call on. This is all common sense, but we didn't have the ability to produce ultrasonics with electronics until a few years ago. Adios, Gary

Have you seen the coyotes get educated to the FREQ caller in similar but slower fashion, or are they always stymied by the replicated sounds?

Time will tell but I am guessing that if pressured enough, we will educate the coyote population to the point that they will no longer respond to any sound. Many other callers and myself are finding that you can educate the gray fox population with the standard e-callers and I thought that this was almost impossible. Cats are finicky when it comes to calling as their sense of hearing is so sophisticated. I am not sure that they are educated to the "flat" sounds of conventional e-callers or that they are just easier for them to ignore. Adios, Gary
