I've started engraving wood 1911 grips and need some good ideas for images/patterns/designs that will sell. Throw some ideas at me.

What about a Texas theme? Lone Star, State Flag, Alamo, longhorn, armadillo etc. Looks like you have the skills.

Brands would be cool. I think Colt made a Texas branding iron model. I would also look at a tooled leather pattern. Something that resembles nice belts or wallets.

If you don't mind the cheese factor, do college football logos if you can get away with it. People spend stupid money on logo'd items.

I've seen some stuff that commemorates notorious political events here and there...things like "let's go Brandon" and stuff like that. Maybe a heatseeking missile taking out a $1.75 party balloon. Daily events should provide plenty of inspiration.

Thanks fellas! These are some great ideas. I ran out of blanks today, but I've ordered some more. Hopefully I'll be able to make some of these soon!

I made these for a customer this weekend with his brand on them. He also had me make some others for his neighbor with another brand on them. Turned out pretty well!

Maybe the Yellowstone and 6666 need some. Hah! That example is really nice.

Hard to go wrong with oak leaves and acorns. You have done excellent work on an original pattern.
