A Single Action Army revolver. Does everyone need at least one? I watch the GRIT Channel. love Tales of Wells Fargo and all Western movies.
I don't own one but thinking about a tricked-up Taylor Arms Colt knock off. I really don't want to spend $3000 for a real Colt.
who owns at least 1 and whatcha got?
Buzz I have a Taylor’s 1851 c mason conversion in 45 colt.. think old clint eastwood movies like good bad and ugly or fist full of dollars. I have about $750 in it by the time I got it shipped and paid the transfer fees but I have shot several hundred rounds trouble free and its been a load of fun. I shoot 8 gr of unique with a 200 rnfp hard cast, also do the same with 250-255’s they are a little sportier but easy on the gun.

Ruger Blackhawk 6 1/2" .357 Magnum was the first handgun I bought once I was of age. Full size wheelguns are iconic, durable, and always popular with casual shooter friends and family at the ranch and range. A real SAA .45 Colt would be nice to have some day.

I don’t know about the Taylor’s but most of them are made by Uberti.
The Taylor’s are very nice indeed.
Taylors is an importer, the gun is made by uberti for Taylors to their specifications so they are a bit nicer fit and finish wise. They say they are more true to the original designs as well. I have a uberti peacemaker copy and its nice but not as nice as the Taylor.
Rugers do not fall under the SAA umbrella but they are single action revolvers ... just not copies of the Colt SAA.
I recently sold a Uberti Cimmaron Evil Roy in .45 Colt. Pictured below. In the family there is also a first generation Colt from 1904 originally issued to an ancestor as a Texas Ranger. Pictured below.
Pass the gravy.

Very COOL !!! Does the Evil Roy come with a custom action tune? There are quite a few of these replica SAA, I get them confused.
